Ingredients
4.5 pounds of pork shoulder picnic
13 tablespoons soy sauce
1 cup thinly sliced coriander steam
1 tablespoon white pepper
15 cloves garlic, minced
5 StarsAnise
5 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 cinnamon sticks
3 tablespoons sugar
10 hard boiled eggs
Water or pork broth
12 Chinese Broccoli
10 cups of steamed rice
Sauce
1 tablespoon sambal oelek ground fresh chili paste
½ cup vinegar
Preparation
Place a pork shoulder in a saucepan over medium heat. Soy sauce, sugar, coriander, white pepper, garlic, star anise, cocoa powder, and cinnamon. Pour in water or broth porkjust enough to cover pork. Turn heat to high temperatures, bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer and cook until tender about 2-3 hours. Add more water if needed to keep pork covered (not too weak, which makes the taste). 3 minutes before serving, add the Chinese broccoli, stir and cook briefly over low heat. Transfer to a serving dish.
Make Sauce: Combine ground fresh chili paste and vinegar in a small bowl and mix well. Every dish with slices of pork on a serving dish steamedRice in cocoa sauce, 2 eggs and a half, and Chinese broccoli on the side.
